Commenting on the story `Teaching statistical probability to elementary school children – why not`, reader Le Van Tien shared his opinion:
I am not surprised that the majority of readers object when they hear `statistical probability` because they immediately think of the knowledge they learned at university level.
The initial statistical part is just analyzing chart data, drawing bar charts and finding basic data such as `mode`, `range`.
If you have never been exposed to international mathematics, you should know that mathematics teaches topics such as fractions, statistics, equations, and exponentiation from a very early age, but at a level from easy to difficult.
Sharing the same opinion as above, Le Hac said that this subject is not `too heavy` for elementary school students:
You guys just act like the probability and statistics program in college will be relegated to second grade.
Meanwhile, as a parent with children in elementary school, reader Hoangvannam2586 shares his experience teaching children statistical probability from an early age:
Every day I make my children do some `probability – statistics` math.

Teaching statistical probability to elementary school children – why not?
I’m ‘dumbfounded’ with the Math homework of 8th grade students
