Before its release last weekend, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 was predicted to overtake Fast & Furious 7 on the top-selling movie rankings in North America this week.

With a global revenue of 1.15 billion USD, `Fast & Furious 7` is ranked seventh on the list of most popular cinema works of all time.

Not exceeding experts’ predictions, Fast & Furious 7 has reached the one billion USD mark with a total revenue of more than 1.1 billion USD worldwide.

This level of revenue also helped Fast & Furious 7 enter the list of the most popular movies of all time at number seven.

In Vietnam, Fast & Furious 7 also holds the record for being the most popular movie in theater history with revenue of over 5 million USD after only 12 days of release.

With $24 million in ticket sales in its opening weekend, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 came in second place.

Compared to the first part (31.8 million USD), Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 had a less impressive debut.

Third place belongs to the horror film Unfriended.

Horror movie `Unfriended` earned high profits in its opening weekend.

This week’s surprise belongs to Monkey Kingdom.

The remaining popular movies are Home, The Longest Ride, Get Hard, Woman in Gold, Insurgent and Cinderella.

There are three notable movies coming out this weekend: The Age of Adeline, Little Boy and The Water Diviner.
