Actor Sean Penn recently sued the co-creator of the TV series Empire – Lee Daniels – for making insulting comments when comparing him to Terrence Howard (actor of the movie Empire).

The complaint was filed with the New York Supreme Court on September 22 and a press release included the message: `As a famous star, Penn has for many years been the subject of gossip and scandals.
