According to Jaime, on the second day of her journey, she felt uncomfortable with a sponsor when someone gave her his number and kept calling to ask for the hotel address and room number.

During an event of the Manila Yacht Club, this man brought contestants with Jaime VandenBerg’s group on the yacht and took photos.
Jaime VandenBerg said that after two weeks of harassment, she reported it to the organizers but received no support.
The Canadian beauty’s sharing received a lot of support from fans.

After the Canadian beauty’s sharing, two other contestants from Guam and England also confirmed that they experienced the same thing during a yacht trip in Manila.
Ms. Lorraine Schuck shared on GMA News that the organizers returned Jaime’s passport as soon as she requested and confirmed that they had not received any accusations of sexual harassment.
New Miss Earth 2018 Phuong Khanh shared that she had never heard of any contestants being harassed at the competition and had not encountered sponsors who behaved rudely towards her.
This is not the first time the organizers of the Miss Earth pageant have been caught up in controversy on the sidelines.
